I’m a storyteller, an adventurer, and I believe in the power of a good photograph. For me, a good story conveys the emotion, and connection, and love between two people that no other medium can. As a wedding photographer capturing those moments is one of the most amazing and rewarding feelings in the world
I tend to let the events unfold naturally as I capture the real reactions through the day, while ensuring that I capture all the memorable details, happiness and fun. When the timing is right, I like to also take the time to sneak you and your fiancé off to traditional portraits, but also to create bold and intimate moments that will last forever. I think it is important to be able to be flexible and balance the right amount of photojournalism and creativity for different brides and grooms with unique personalities and wedding days.
Outside of wedding photography, I also do work in the commercial / adventure industry. I travel around the country capturing images for amazing brands while carrying along the authenticity, mentality, and vibe making sure that the images speak to their customers. I enjoy camping, hiking, long road trips and the occasional ice cream cone.

Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in the greater Boston area servicing all of New England.
Being originally from Minnesota I tend to travel back and forth for weddings every summer and love doing so.
I would love to hear about any plans of a destination wedding you might have and how I can help to make it happen.
How would you describe your style?
Artistic, adventurous and emotional. Outside of the traditional family photos I believe that capturing intimate moments between you and your family and friends is the essence of wedding photography. Capturing candid, authentic moments of the joy and wonder is how I have developed my style throughout my years of being a wedding photographer.
Are engagement photos included with our package?
Engagement Photography is included with every wedding package. Each couple is different and I love taking the time to ensure that the unique relationship we create through this process includes time behind the camera. Our engagement session is our opportunity to get to know each other on a professional level. Consider it our "practice session" before your wedding day. What should we wear to our engagement session?
This greatly depends on you! Traditionally I tell my couples to bring one casual, and one dressier outfit. Engagement sessions are meant to showcase your relationship and the things you like to do. You let me know what and where you want to do them and we can discuss the best looking outfit for you both to wear.
I don’t see any formal photos on your website, do you take any family shots at the wedding?
Yes absolutely. If fact, we want a list! We always carve out a time in your day to get family formals done. This is usually done immediately after your ceremony or after your first look.
What is a first look?
A first look is a dedicated moment between you and your soon to be husband / wife where you ge to see them for the first time. This time is true, and authentic and proves to be the most intimate way for you to see each other before the wedding. You will get to choose your location that is special to the both of you and will lend itself to being much more photogenic.
This option is prefered by many brides and grooms because it allow us to get your bridal portraits, family portraits, and anything in between done prior to the ceremony so that after we are done you are free to enjoy the rest of your day.
Do you stay until the very end of the wedding?
With my packages there are multiple options for you to choose from that allow you to custom tailor my coverage of your day. I find that I stay about 1-2 hours after the initial reception events (first dance, cake cutting) to make sure I get Uncle Bill doing the splits on the dance floor. If you find that there will be a special event or moment you need to be capture later in the evening just let me know and I will be sure to be there for it!
How many images will we receive?
I have found over the years there there is no formula or way to guarantee a certain amount of images from your day as each wedding is unique. Typically final galleries contain between 600-800 images.
When will we see our images?
All of your images will be delivered to you within 4-5 weeks after your wedding.
Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely! I have two professional bodies along with an assortment of lenses and lighting that make me 100% positive I will not miss a single moment throughout your day.
